WPF will be participating in the Surveillance Technologies Community Forum coordinated by the City of Portland’s Smart City PDX and the Office of Equity and Human Rights.
The City of Portland’s Smart City PDX program and the Office of Equity and Human Rights are convening the invitation-only community forum on Surveillance and Facial Recognition Technologies in order to receive community and stakeholder input into Portland’s forthcoming facial recognition and surveillance policies.
Currently, the Smart City PDX team is partnering with the city’s Office of Equity and Human Rights and other city agencies to develop its facial recognition policy this year and a more comprehensive surveillance technologies policy next year.
The event will be held in Portland, OR, 9 AM to 1 PM – September 5, 2019 at the Eliot Center.
